Catherine Shepherd, RDMS
Sonographer
I was born and raised in Augusta, GA, and proudly graduated summa cum laude from the Medical College of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Since 1999, I’ve had the privilege of serving families through ultrasound care across Augusta and nearby counties. In 2017, I joined this wonderful practice as a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer, where I continue to follow my passion for helping expectant mothers. My husband and I have raised two beautiful daughters and now call Clarks Hill, South Carolina, our home.
Venecia Smith BS, RDMS
Sonographer
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from the Medical College of Georgia in 2002. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with top-tier doctors at renowned teaching facilities like MCG (now Wellstar) and the National Institutes of Health. My journey has even taken me up and down the East Coast as a travel sonographer for nine years. Teaching ultrasound to sonography students, medical students, and residents has been a true joy. When I’m not at work, you’ll find me enjoying precious family time with my husband and kids—or out on my roller skates, which I absolutely love!
Kayla Peoples, RDMS
Sonographer
I graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from Augusta Technical College in 2022, and it was my honor to join Dr. Davis’s team that December. Maternal-fetal medicine is my passion, and being part of this special journey with each patient is incredibly rewarding. I love connecting with each expectant mother and supporting her through this remarkable season of life.
